Customize and Use Photo Captions

Customize preset photo captions

Create preset captions you can easily select and apply to photos taken with the mobile app.
Photo Captions can be edited and are managed in the web app. Click here to learn how.

Photo Caption character limits

Photo captions have a character limit of 50 characters.

Apply a caption to a photo taken with the mobile app

There are two ways to add a caption.

Manually enter the caption

  1. In the mobile app, open the Assignment associated with the property you are inspecting
  2. Click the  icon in the bottom left corner to take a photo
  3. Enter your photo caption where it says "Add Caption"

  4. Click the  icon to save the photo
  5. The caption will show directly beneath the photo
  6. Once it syncs, you'll see a green border around the image

Select a caption from the preset list created in your Company Profile

  1. In the mobile app, open the Assignment associated with the property you are inspecting
  2. Click the  icon in the bottom left corner to take a photo
  3. Click the  icon to save the photo
    Do not enter anything where it says "Add Caption"
  4. Tap on the image you wish to apply a preset caption

  5. Click the  icon in the upper right corner of the screen
  6. Tap the caption you wish to apply to the photo


  7. Click the  icon in the upper left corner to go back to the main screen
  8. The selected caption will now show directly below the photo and is what will print in the report

Edit a caption in the mobile app

  1. Go to the assignment in the mobile app
  2. Scroll to the photo with the caption you wish to edit
  3. Tap on the photo

  4. Tap on the existing caption to manually make changes/enter a new caption then click  in the bottom right corner


  5. Or click on the  icon in the upper right corner to select from the preset photo captions
